Presenting Taurus Dynamic Income Fund
The uncertainties of volatile market, call for a smart and dynamic investment plan that aims to generate optimal returns with healthy liquidity through active management of the portfolio. The scheme will endeavour to optimise returns for the investors by designing a portfolio which will dynamically track interest rate movements. The Fund will play on the shift/shape of yield curve to generate returns.
Investment Objective
To generate optimal returns with high liquidity through active management of the portfolio by investing in Debt & Money Market Instruments.
However there is no assurance or guarantee that the objectives of the scheme will be realized and the scheme does not assure or guarantee any returns.
Distinctive features of Taurus Dynamic Income Fund
Has the flexibility to mimic a Short Term Income Fund in a rising interest rate scenario & thereby aiming to preserve capital.
Liquidity may remain in negative zone but may be close to RBI's band of 1% of NDTL
Yield curve likely to steepen at the shorter end
Benchmark GOI and Corporate Bonds Likely to trade in a narrow range, with an upward bias.
Preamble to the investment strategy
The conventional expectation of secular rising interest rates may be challenged at various points in the coming periods.
The Scheme currently will be a pure rate / spreads play scheme : focussing on liquid securities across the yield curve and initiating trading strategies.

Play on the shift of the yield curve
Play on the structure on the yield curve (steepening / flattening)
Play on credit spreads
A small portion of the portfolio will play the high accrual theme

Suitable for investors with moderate risk profile and investment horizon of over 6 moths.
Suitable for investors seeking higher returns that those offered by Short Term Bond Funds and are prepared for some short term fluctuations.
